Snake · Skin is a short, silent video of a poem by Sonia that centers on a character/artist persona, Reina Kali, who survives a near-death experience and lives to share her journey through death and rebirth. The video is a precursor to other larger-scale projects with themes of Sonia's Salvadoran, Indo-Guyanese, and Brooklynite identities, gender-based violence, and the creative process. The first is called The Mirrors We Face.
